Pita El Saha

Pita El Saha
(SU Hill)
137 Marshall Street

Syracuse NY

What can I really say but its good food for a good price.

I must apologize though; it has taken me way too long to put up a review, seeing as I go at least 2 times a month (weather and work pending).

So why do my friends and I love Pita El Saha so much?

Well first of all, it’s a really relaxed environment. I mean I could walk in wearing my PJ’s and feel right at home. The guys (well there is one girl that works there but I’ve only seen her once in the past 5 months) are really cool for the most part. Depending on which night you go you’ll get a plethora of music for your listening pleasures. One night the guys were playing this new reggae artist …I’ll find out his name and do a post later.

Pita use to have conversation art on the walls. Some college student must have painted a mural a few years back. There was one figure that was on the wall at the table my friends and I always sit at, kind of reminded me of the “dark seekers” from I Am Legend. Unfortunately, if you don’t know what I’m talking about you never will, because Pita El Saha has recently done some renovating. The walls (and speakers) are now painted this yellow butter color, no more mural.
But I’ll move past the esthetics and talk about the main draw, the PITAS of course. So far I’ve tried a few. I started with the chicken Slovakia, then I had the Falafel, and third the Chicken Gyro. They were all good. But the Falafel is my pick 90% of the time.

The Basic Pita Saha Experience:
Walk in
Place your order: Select your meat, Select your toppings (up to 5), Select your cheese, and Select your sauce
My normal order: Falafel, Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Sprouts, Hot peppers, Feta, Taziki Sauce.
Take a seat and in about 5 min you’re good to go
For my group this is usually followed by lots of laughs, good people watching (there’s a huge mirror in the back so no matter where you sit, you know what’s going on), and every once in awhile one of the Pita guys will add something interesting into the convo.

Over all Pita El Saha gets a great rating in my book, and if you plan on going soon…I’ll probably see you there.
